Riverhouse Retreat

Jon and I went back and forth on what to do for our Anniversary. We thought about going to Vegas again, thought about going somewhere new like Seattle or New York. All of this sounded fun, yet very familiar- getting on an airplane, staying at a hotel, seeing the city sites. We do this all the time for Jon's work, we wanted to do something different and go somewhere we could just kick back and relax. So the cabin was the perfect solution for a low key get away. I don't know who had more fun; Breezie "swimming" in the bucket, or me doing a photo shoot.

We missed the rest of the gang- Jon couldn't get work off any earlier, but Grandma Nene and Grandma nene-Omi stayed behind to spend a day and a half with us! Here we are at Red Fish Lake.

She's always coming up with new ways to entertain herself in the car. It was a 15 hour drive from Denver.

The Salmon River.

Breezie thoroughly enjoyed the swing set- even if it wasn't moving.
BEAUTIFUL!! Stanley Lake. It's so nice to escape. You can't help but have a higher level of appreciation for the beauty of the earth when being in places like this.

We went to the hatchery and the fish were jumping like crazy. It was a lot of fun. Breezie also discoverd she could climb the fence -high for my taste, I had to just bite me tongue.
We went back to Red Fish Lake on our anniversary and while we were in the water, Breezie looked at us then pushed mine and Jon's head together for a kiss while singing; "Once upon a time."
We also went on lots of hikes. Breezie's favorite was the hot pools, she would ask to go at least 10 times a day.

I got a little painting of Breezie done too. It's just a little diddy as I like to call it.

It was so hard to paint her face, not only because it's hardest to paint those you know, but in this case it was because it is no bigger than the size of a dime. I probably painted over it about 12 times. I put in a little blue butterfly because whenever she sees a butterfly she says; "Oh it's my butterfly" and chases after it jumping and clapping her hands.
