Breanna gets stitches

Our dear sweet Breanna was spinning away, dancing having a wonderful time when she lost her balance and rammed right into the sub woofer.  She has been so patient and good about the whole situation.  She just amazes us!!
I am so grateful for how the spirit works.  Just before she hit her head she said; "Watch this"  That very moment the spirit told me that she was going to split her head open.  I was across the room so I couldn't prevent it from happening, but when I looked at the wound I was able to keep calm and grab what we needed to dash out the door.  Most importantly, I was able to keep calm to help Breanna.  (Normally in emergency situations I freeze and become a statue.) We held a cold rag on it til we got to the emergency room.  All the nurses were so good about helping her feel comfortable.

We were going to choose the glue over the stitches, but the doctor said she felt for this case, it would heal better with the stitches. Breezie held so still, everyone was impressed.  I was singing primary songs to her. After we left the hospital, she said; "That was fun."  Oh my goodness this girl!  She is too good.

Today, it was all about her.  We watched a movie.  Played computer games with her, colored, painted nails, gave her treats.  We have little surprises planned each day until the stitches come out. She also gets to go to the movies after the stitches come out (in 5 days) and if she is really good about not touching it- which she has been awesome with so far -I'm taking her to little man's ice cream shop, which happens to have a very large slide too.

Ethan is 1 !!

Our little baby is ONE.  Ethan is such a wonderful boy.  He lights me up every day.  I am so grateful to   have him in our family!!!
Ethan preferred carrots over his chocolate cake!! Can you believe that??
Maybe next year I'll try a carrot cake.

 Hangin' with cousin Greyson.

 Happy Birthday Papapa!!!

I think Ethan's favorite part of the party was chasing the balloons around.

Here is part of the photo shoot for the Birthday Invitation.

"Ethan's Turning One, let's have some Jungle fun!!!"

Family in town!

Mom Dad and Deb's came for a week.  We had a lot of fun.  I think we had just the right amount of activity and just the right amount of down time.  We went to the Denver Zoo, the Botanical Gardens.  Went ice skating downtown.  Went out to eat a few times and had plenty of fun just playing games and hanging out at the house.

Jon gave me a super dooper Nikon Camera for my birthday and I have had a blast taking picture after picture playing with it.  I love it!!!

Breezie and Grandma-Honey can do puzzles all day long. Breezie referred to Honey as"The puzzler".

 The Botanical Gardens
 George of the Jungle.

Breanna's first Ice Skating Experience!  She was very brave and had a lot of fun.  Look how cute her head band is.  Aunt Debrah made for her (and made me a grey one too!)  They have adorable bows on the side.

Zoo and Dance

Here we are at the Denver Zoo.  Again, I had so much fun with my new camera.  I have always wanted a camera like this woo hoo!!

 There's my moon-eye smile!
 Not something you see everyday.
See. . .  I do have hair!

What is that wild animal??  Oh, it's just Mom gone wild with her camera again.
I love the Giraffes!

My favorite, the cwoot widdle kitty!
Here's an example of the awesomeness of my camera.  I snapped this one from 60 feet away.

Dancing Time!!

Everyone was playing Just Dance 3 on the Kinnect and Deb's and I decided we were going to create our own.  We totally underestimated the time involved when we started this project.  A whole afternoon later, Jon comes home and says; so you know this song isn't as option on the "just creat" section.  No, we didn't know that.  So we decided after all the time put into this sucker, it was gettin recorded.  So we recorded it with the regular camera.  No, we are not professional, the point is we had a lot of fun.  We both agreed it felt like being in Jr. High again.  Here it is in all it's glory.
