It's a new year and already we've had a lot of exciting things happening. Crystal had her new little baby boy Troian. He is so adorable & they are healthy and happy. Chris and Angela got married it was the most beautiful reception center I've ever seen! These were both in the same week!! Chris asked me to sing Fools Rush In at the reception. Shawn played the piano for me he was amazing! I can hardly believe he learned it by ear, added his own flare to it and played that well in less than a week!! I had a unique experience singing this solo. Shawn reminded me that it was a gift, I really felt that as I sang. I was able to let go of any inhibitions. It seems like a lot of the time, I'm holding back just a little bit. Not this time, I was as free as a bird calm and cool- (aside from my knee providing the percussion.) That's better than my hand or my voice shaking. I really enjoyed myself. Thanks again Shawn, and next time we'll have to sing together! Chris also tore it up on the piano -as always it was magnificent!!
The other big news is Jon's promotion! He is working for a company called Jasper Roofing. He is now the hiring manager for the company. We are super excited. We've been hangin' out in sunny Phoenix Arizona for a month and now we'll be in Salt Lake for a while. We'll be bouncing back and forth between the two and Denver. This is perfect timing for me to go and help out with the baby and Breezie will be able to play with her cousins. We'll be in a hotel in Salt Lake too, some might think that's a drag, but I think it's fun. I'm looking forward to when we go back to Denver so I can drop off half of what I brought- way too much stuff!
On our way back to Arizona we stopped at Bryce Canyon. It was gorgeous! Our plan was to be there for two hours, hit the road and make another stop at the Grand Canyon. after we realized we had been there so long we would only have 4o min. of daylight at the Grand C. we decided we better wait for another time. Our two hours turned into 7! We had a wonderful time. Breanna kept saying "Hi Raven" to all the birds which was cute, after all she is "Baby Rave". We also went on a crazy hike up to a mossy cave with a frozen water fall. It was hard to get there. There was so much ice and mud it took us over an hour to get there and back and it was only .4 miles.
We can't wait to see you guys more often. We miss you!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Hope we get to see you some time when the timing fits and we are both in the same place at once! Sad I missed the wedding. I'm sure it was super wonderful. Chris is the best.
