Gena went into labor on Nov. 2nd in the afternoon. We waited at home for several hours until things got more intense. We arrived at the hospital at 11:30 pm and not a second to soon. By the time we were in labor & delivery Gena couldn't walk anymore. She was dilated to a 7 and we thought things would go quickly from there, but it ended up being a long night. In total there was 12 1/2 hours - 4 hours of lighter contractions, 6 hours of intense contractions while she tried to let the baby drop on her own and 6 1/2 hours of hard pushing with every contraction. Gena did this whole process natural and I don't know how she was able to endure for so long. Like mother like daughter when Breanna came out she had one arm raised in her super girl pose.
Breanna had to be in the ICU the first few days for a blood infection and dehydration. We came home Wed. night, but had to be re-admitted Thurs. afternoon because her levels of Jaundice had shot up dramatically. We were grateful for a quick recovery; we were able to go home the next day.
Now she is a very healthy baby, and we have discovered that being parents is the best thing in the world. We have so much fun with her every day. So "Thank Heaven for little girls!"

So sweet! We miss you guys already! Now I just have to show you Photoshop elements so you can scrap all these happy memories! :-)
